Building Community By Engaging in Science
What is Science on the Hill?
Science on the Hill is a science café program that allows scientists to interact with the public in a relaxed setting, fostering dialogue and making science an approachable part of the everyday world. Each event is one to two hours long and consists of a guest scientist speaker leading a moderated discussion and question-and-answer session on scientific topics of interest to the community.
Where is Science on the Hill?
Each Science on the Hill event is held at Landmark Americana Tap and Grill, serving the communities of Wynnefield, Overbrook and Bala Cynwyd.
Science on the Hill started with a grant from a 3-year grant from the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. It is now supported by Saint Joseph's University's College of Arts and Sciences.
